Purpose of the Role
Collaborate with senior and department head to maintain quality of product, analysis of sample provided and for the Environmental monitoring.
Responsibilities
Perform jobs assigned by immediate line manager to maintain quality of product, preparation of document, analysis of sample provided and Environment monitoring.
A. Preparation & maintenance of documents:
- 1. Must prepare report of analyzed sample given to them.
- 2. Must prepared SOP required in microbiology section.
- 3. Must prepared specification for microbial test antimicrobial property test.
B. Analysis of sample:
- 1. Must analyze the sample planned by the department lead.
- 2. Must collect samples for microbial test and antimicrobial property test.
- 3. Must take the responsibility for storage and current status of particular sample that is provided by department lead.
- 4. Must know how to use every instrument and equipment needed to analyze the sample given to them by department lead.
- 5. Must take the responsibility of particular sample assigned to you
- 6. Must know how to work as per compendium specially pharmacopoeia.
- 7. Must follow specification and SOP in every step.
- 8. Must prepare solution required for the analysis of the sample.
- 9. Must maintain stocks (Microbial stocks, chemicals, reagents and media) for testing.
- 10. Maintain laboratory procedures in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice standards
- 11. Must own sound knowledge on the microbial test and antimicrobial samples analysis.
- 12. Must be able to organize, analyze and interpret data into significant information bits.
C. Maintenance of working environment:
- 1. Must follow the 5S rule during analysis of sample provided.
- 2. Must maintain the work place discipline.
- 3. Must know the work place for each chemical use.
- 4. Must maintain and know the specific location for every documents in the quality control department.
- 5. Must have basic knowledge about first aid and action taken during emergency.
- 6. Must inform the immediate senior if any malfunction is observed.
- 7. Must know how to work in aseptic environment.
D. Preparation and maintenance of records:
- 1. Must record the daily activity in a record file.
- 2. Must maintain the inventory records of all the chemicals, reagents, stock solution and glassware available for microbiology section.
- 3. Must maintain the labelling of every chemicals and preparations that are in the Quality Control department.
- 4. Must fill every logbook in Quality Control department after every step of analysis.
- 5. Must maintain the aseptic environment in microbiology testing area.
E. Environmental Monitoring:
- 1. Must perform the bioburden test to monitor the microbial limit in Production, R&D and QC department in defined intervals.
F. Regular & Planned water testing (source & purified)
G. Maintaining the biological strains: propagate & maintain microbial stocks for testing and preserve for future use.
Key working relationships (cross functional relationship)
No cross-departmental relationship. Internally this job interacts with the QC Department lead and colleague of the Quality Control department.
Professional Competencies
- Minimum Bachelor in Microbiology.
- 1-2 years experience in related field.
- Basic skills on Microsoft Office.
